When rules disagree

  1. Full stop, then proceed when safe.

  2. Yield to traffic on the main road.

Halt and clear

    Halt this far from a railway crossing.

  2. 3m

    No parking within this distance of a hydrant or crossing.

  3. 30m

    No overtake within this distance of a crossing, junction, or rail.

Position and visibility

  1. 25cm

    Max kerb gap when parking parallel.

  2. 30m

    Be in the left lane this far before a left turn.

  3. 60m

    Min forward visibility to overtake.

  4. 150m

    Headlights / taillights visible at night.

Admin deadlines

    Vehicle colour change.
